See me Godammit!

I know cyclists are despised on the roads, but this time of year it's really tough. First you have to contend with the weather, then there's pedestrians and cars pulling out in front of you. I've got 2 bright lights and now lots of reflective Scotchlite stickers (including the design above) and STILL I'm invisible. I've just added red LED valve caps that come on when it's dark and there's movement. I'm hoping I'm going to be a bit more visible now with red illuminated flashing wheels like this guy below...

Derezzed

Daft Punk's latest tune 'Derezzed' is from the new Tron Legacy film I keep harping on about. It looks and sounds so good I can't wait until it comes out next month.

Derezzed

This is a still of Daft Punk and their tune Derezzed from the new Tron Legacy soundtrack. Apologies for not embedding the video directly, but I don't know how to do that on an iPhone. I'll post it tomorrow.

Robot Romance "I'm here" by Spike Jonze

I've just come across this short 30 minute film by Spike Jonze. Jonze is an idol of mine ever since I first saw the Beastie Boys 'Sabotage' and Weezer's 'Buddy Holly' music videos. He's also the main man behind TV show Jackass and full-length-feature-films 'Where the wild things are' and 'Being John Malcovich'.
'I'm here' is about an alternative world where robots live among the rest of the human population. It has an eerie sub-context that although sometimes dark, makes you wish the world was really like this.
It's also free to watch over at imheremovie.com

“Wendy, I’m home!”

If we don't, remember me is a great Tumblr site of hypnotic Film GIFs. This is my favoutrite from the Shining.

Devilrobots + Tokidoki

Just bought these two vinyl robots that I saw at the Kid Robot store in Covent Garden earlier this month. They are Astrodemonio (left by Tokidoki) and Evil King (right by Devilrobots) and are about 8-9 inches high. I got mine off eBay but you can get them straight from the PI store.

My little piece of privacy

This simple idea and the great lo-fi 8 bit music made me smile from ear to ear.

Flock and Roll

I've got a good friend's wedding tomorrow, so although it's a Friday I've stayed in and created some desktop wallpapers for my new iMac. This is my favourite: Flock and Roll!
