21 minute Tron Legacy Soundtrack preview

Teaser of Daft Punk's Tron Legacy soundtrack

I don't know if I've mentioned it already but Daft Punk are scoring the Tron Legacy film and you can here a 6 minute teaser here: http://www.waltdisneystudiosawards.com/tronlegacy/music.php

Some of it's actually quite orchestral rather than digital. "The duo assembled a symphony of eighty-five world-class musicians in London and recorded the orchestra at AIR Lyndhurst Studios, Britain's premier scoring facility." Which also might explain this:

Derezzed

This is a still of Daft Punk and their tune Derezzed from the new Tron Legacy soundtrack. Apologies for not embedding the video directly, but I don't know how to do that on an iPhone. I'll post it tomorrow.

Light Bike

I'd love to be creating concept work like this from i09. Instead I'm mainly Art Directing e-Learning courses :(

Tron toys

The Tron Toys look great; especially the light bike. More over at Gizmodo.

New Tron Legacy Trailer

Wow this looks good. Decemeber 2010!

Tron Munny

I love tron and I love vinyl toys so when I got a glow in the dark do-it-yourself Munny I thought I'd combine the two. I haven't quite finished it yet, but I've done the helmet.

New Daft Punk tune?

I can't wait for the Tron Legacy film especially since I heard the soundtrack is to be composed by Daft Punk. I stumbled across this track the other day which supposedly is a leaked tune from said soundtrack. Whether it is or not the French Robots and whether it is pr not from the Tron Legacy OST remains to be seen (or heard?). But it certainly sounds like it could tick both boxes and got me excited about this film all over again.

And in case you haven't seen the awesome trailer here it is again:

Tenori-On + Little Boots = Stuck On Repeat

It was the Fake Blood remix of Stuck On Repeat which first got me into Little Boots (also the lead singer of Dead Disco). But it's the interesting post on her youTube channel which has me awe struck. The flashy LED instrument she uses looks like it came from the set of TRON. The TENORI-ON (it even sounds like TRON) is billed as the "The digital music instrument for the 21st century." And judging by Little Boots' performance it doesn't disappoint.

"Media artist Toshio Iwai and Yamaha have collaborated to design a new digital musical instrument for the 21st century, TENORI-ON. A 16x16 matrix of LED switches allows everyone to play music intuitively, creating a "visible music" interface."

I want one! Even if I'll never work out how to turn the fucker on. Little Boot's EP Meddle is out on the 11th August and is produced by Joe Hot Chip.
